There are only 8 school days left folks and 17 days until Christmas. The Spotline has recently received a video from Santa and he has an important message for everyone. See what he has to say here.

12 school days left!! Bring your Christmas list tomorrow and have a seat on Santa’s lap. He will be in the Commons during lunch taking Christmas wishes for free and who knows your wish may just end up on the Spotline.
Christmas break is approaching at a snail’s pace, it seems. There are only 13 more school days until the semester ends, not that we’re counting or anything…
Andover Central beat Andover in the Food Drive. We had 5813 units and AHS had 4201 units. Way to go everyone that helped out!
Be sure to check out our new polls page so we can get your opinion on anything and everything.

Scholars Bowl results:
The varsity team of Trey Black, Ryan Schrader, Elizabeth Evans, Brittany Weaver, Adam Jacobson, and Andrew Kuhlman took 4th place at the Wichita East High School Invitational on Saturday. There were 36 teams competing. The top four teams were Bishop Carroll, Kapaun, Lawrence Free State, and Andover Central. We have never had a team make it to the finals in this large tournament before.
The novice team took 3rd place at the Douglass High School Invitational yesterday. The team members were Courtney Schwartzbeck, Jordan Weaver, Christine Ng, Meike Grewing, Kevin Kramer, and Hayden Kinney. Only one of these students has participated in scholars’ bowl prior to this year.
The ACHS Jaguar Marching Band competed in the 2009 Southern Plains Marching Festival Wednesday. The band received 3 superior ratings and an overall Superior (1) rating for their performance. The band was the largest band in the competition, taking up over 120 more feet than any other band. Congratulations to these fine musicians for their hard work.
