Scholars Bowl results:

The varsity team of Trey Black, Ryan Schrader, Elizabeth Evans, Brittany Weaver, Adam Jacobson, and Andrew Kuhlman took 4th place at the Wichita East High School Invitational on Saturday. There were 36 teams competing. The top four teams were Bishop Carroll, Kapaun, Lawrence Free State, and Andover Central. We have never had a team make it to the finals in this large tournament before.

The novice team took 3rd place at the Douglass High School Invitational yesterday. The team members were Courtney Schwartzbeck, Jordan Weaver, Christine Ng, Meike Grewing, Kevin Kramer, and Hayden Kinney. Only one of these students has participated in scholars’ bowl prior to this year.

Congratulations Band!

The ACHS Jaguar Marching Band competed in the 2009 Southern Plains Marching Festival Wednesday. The band received 3 superior ratings and an overall Superior (1) rating for their performance. The band was the largest band in the competition, taking up over 120 more feet than any other band. Congratulations to these fine musicians for their hard work.

Food Drive

Just a reminder the food drive starts Monday. Bring non-perishable food items to your 4th hour class all next week.
